The NCEA/Just for the Kids website is dense with content, research, and information about individual schools. Educators new to our site will be most interested in our school-based resources, best practice research, and improvement tools and services. Following are sample questions that you can explore on our site:

Is my school living up to its potential in each grade and subject? School Reports: Opportunity Gap Reports
  1. Search for your school using the search bar in the top header.
  2. With your school selected, use the left navigation bar to expand the Opportunity Gap Reports by clicking on it to see the available charts for your school. Start by looking at your Opportunity Gap Bar Chart.
  3. Scroll through the charts by subject and grade level.
Which schools in my state are Consistent Higher Performers? Consistently Higher Performing Schools Lists
  1. Search for your state using the search bar in the top header.
  2. Use the left navigation bar to expand the INSPIRE section and click on Higher Performing Schools.
  3. Click on the Elementary Schools, Middle Schools, or High Schools link to view the list of Consistently Higher Performing Schools for that level.
What do consistently higher performing schools do? Best Practice Framework
  1. Search for your state using the search bar in the top header.
  2. Use the left navigation bar to expand the INSPIRE section and click on Best Practice Framework.
  3. Using the Best Practice Framework graphic, click through the fifteen practices found to distinguish these types of schools from average-performing schools.
  4. To learn more about the structure of the Framework click on About the Framework .
